Early Childhood Centre

VHA’s Early Childhood Centre is a warm and supportive environment where preschool children can explore their world at their own pace. It is a caring place, were our professional early childhood educators nurture each child’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills through creative play and integrated activities.

Our Preschool program emphasizes character development through the teaching of middot tovot (fine character), and derech eretz (proper conduct).  Children are introduced to the cycle of the Jewish year and learn through music, art and stories about Shabbat and the chagim (Jewish holidays), parashat hashavua (weekly Torah portion) and Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel).  In addition, linguistic aptitude is promoted through pre-reading readiness in English and Hebrew and the early basics of Hebrew language acquisition.
